Wineskin for ElCpaitan

I recently purchased a bible study program from Biblesoft that uses Wineskin to run on a Mac. However, I believe that I need the upgrade of Wineskin that fixes bugs on ElCapitan. Any thoughts or advice? At this point I can only run some parts of the study program, much of the time it freezes or has a running scroll that is garbled and will not stop.

War in the pacific admirals edition - matrix games

Hello, I'm new to macs. I have a new iMac with 27'" 5k Retina display. Trying to get one of my windows games to run. I created a new wrapper and can get game running. However, cannot get full screen or sound. The screen is a small square in the middle of the 27" display. No matter what adjustments I try, cannot get it to full screen. In windows this game does not have resolution controls so it is done with switches on the exec line. So I've put these in the exe box in the wrapper. -w -cpu1 -dd_sw -multiaudio -skipVideo -px3000 -py1500 Have not used winetricks. In set screen options have tried numerous adjustments. No luck. Any ideas how to get this to full screen? Thank you

Wineskin Only Shows Part of Screen - NSFW

---- NSFW ---- So I've been trying to open up an application called Big Brother (shameless, I admit), but the wrapper only opens up the game in part of the screen, no matter what resolution I choose. I've tried adjusting the resolution through both Wine and the pre-game launcher itself, and emulating a virtual desktop, but the problem still persists. Attached is a screenshot of the problem, along with the test logs posted below: --------------------------- WineskinX11: main(): argc=12 Waiting for startup parameters via Mach IPC. Getting some strange graphics corruption on "Arma 2 OA"... is it because of a lack of graphics drivers?

It sort of looks like this: http://imgur.com/a/NZSQP, where when you look around, a "shadow" of whatever was on the screen stays where it was and never moves... not sure how to describe it, but I was wondering if this could all be solved by some how installing a form of a gpu driver on wine?

Wrappers Crashing

I have been using wineskin for about 3 weeks now and have been using the program with no issues until recently. Today I was playing Fallout 2 when my laptop died due to low battery about 5 or so minutes later my mouse doubled up one being the in game mouse and the other being the general mouse. I saved the game and quit out of wine and now when I tried to boot any of my wrappers up the logo comes up on the dock; however, steam will not open and the wrapper will close within 10 seconds. I don't know what to do.

Direct Play

So I'm trying to figure out how to play an old game (homm3) with a friend via TCP/IP connection. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but apparently I have to have directplay installed, or have the directplay winetrick enabled. Is there a way to do this, or use winetricks in general with wineskin?

Wineskin suddenly stopped working

Hello, I managed to install steam using wineskin and from within steam download company of heroes and play it successfully. However, the next day I could not open steam. The icon just sits in the tray for a short period of time, then disappears. I tried to make a new wrapper, but get the same problem. Steam will update, but then after that, nothing. I was running El Capitan, and now running sierra. Same problem on both. I was following [http://www.easypctutorials.com/windows-steam-on-mac-wineskin/ |this] guide (however with the latest versions of wineskin/engine/winetricks) I have also tried porting kit - same thing happens. I have the logs from doing a test run which I can post if that will help? Cheers,

STEAM HELP

Hi everybody, I'm not very familiar with Wineskin and I would kindly need your support with a problem I'm having with it. I'm not used to gaming with my mac (and in general I'm not really used to gaming at all) but when I saw that the very first game I have ever played with my PlayStation in 1998 has been recently remastered the 13yo child still in me came out and I decided that I want to play it again. I am referring of course to the first chapter of Resident Evil saga and when I noticed that 2005 HD remastered version was available on Windows only I tried to google for a solution. That's how I found Wineskin and you guys... I followed step by step a tutorial found on YouTube creating a wrapper to run "Steam.exe" and downloading Resident Evil Biohazard HD I bought on kinguin. It took an entire night (around 17GB) but I was really excited this afternoon coming home from work counting down the seconds to run the game. I logged in steam through the wrapper with my userID and password, went through my library and ran my new old game... a new window popped up with the unmistakable CAPCOM logo (for a while I got back in time till late 1998 the first time I run the CD in my PS1) and then... stop!!!! A black window with no action and the game has never started. Maybe a wrong setting or I don't know some mistake in the step. Can you please help me with this problem. I will be really grateful!!!! Thanks in advance to everyone. Best regards, Stefano

How to increase Wine's RAM?

I was using Wine to run the program [http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/products/programs/rpg-maker-vx-ace|RPG Maker VX Ace]. Whenever I tried doing anything with this program (such as creating a new file or editing a previously made one), I got an error message saying "Out of Memory". I contacted the developers of this program [https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/why-does-it-say-out-of-memory.81050///|here], and they said that Wineskin gets assigned part (but never all) of my computer's physical RAM, and because of this, RPG Maker VX Ace isn't getting enough of my computer's RAM to properly run. They suggested that I try and find the settings for the RAM and see if I can increase it. I was wondering, ''is'' there a way to have Wine get ''more'' of my computer's RAM? Would that be changed under the settings for Wine, or my Mac computer? As you may have discovered, I don't have a whole lot of knowledge about computers (specifically RAM).

Skyrim new issue

Hi all, I have been using Skyrim on my Mac for at least a year using wineskin. I own the Skyrim CD (PC version), built a wrapper, installed it, and I am registered with Steam. Suddenly, after a Steam update, it stopped working. I have been troubleshooting with different screen settings, updated the wrapper, updated the wine engine, updated X11 to Xquartz, and nothing seems to work. Below are the test run logs (just the first several lines of each): X11 log WineskinX11: main(): argc=12 Waiting for startup parameters via Mach IPC. WineskinX11: do_start_x11_server(): argc=12 Attempting to use pixel depth of 24 [1466369.592] WineskinX11 starting: [1466369.592] X.Org X Server 1.13.0 [1466369.592] Build Date: 20120921 [1466369.595] Initializing built-in extension Generic Event Extension [1466369.595] Initializing built-in extension SHAPE [1466369.595] Initializing built-in extension MIT-SHM Wine log fixme:ver:GetCurrentPackageId (0x33e4d0 0x0): stub fixme:winsock:set_dont_fragment IP_DONTFRAGMENT for IPv4 not supported in this platform fixme:ntdll:EtwEventRegister ({47a9201e-73b0-42ce-9821-7e134361bc6f}, 0x3f006760, 0x3f041d28, 0x3f041d20) stub. fixme:ntdll:EtwEventRegister ({58a9201e-73b0-42ce-9821-7e134361bc70}, 0x3f006760, 0x3f041d60, 0x3f041d58) stub. I am kind of a layman with this, but I have gotten by with Morrowind and Heroes IV on my mac using wineskin. Help please!

Suggested solutions I've tried and do not work (for me) include: 1. Installing origin (exe) via wine: Got the message opps executable not found and couldn't install it 2. Wine configuration - dwrite, automatically capture the mouse in full screen windows 3. Wine tricks - msxml3, vcrun 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 all carried out I tried opening the game but it just crashed without giving me error message. Help appreciated!!

Microsoft just released MS Paint as a separate application on its website. I want to download it and run it on my MAC. Is Wineskin the right app to make this happen?

Games not Launching from Steam Windows Client

Hey All, After installing Steam in a wrapper via wineskin, I've managed to download and install through Steam the game that I had already purchased and is in my library. However, trying to launch it through Windows Steam just makes nothing happen, as in no new window appears to play the game itself. Does anyone have any advice in terms of how to launch the game after it has been dowloaded and installed? If it helps, the storefront is also not loading even though I've tried the "-no-cef-sandbox" exception which I had heard typically solves the problem. I don't know if that issue would be related to my main problem however. Please let me know if you have any advice about fixes I could make to the Steam game launcher! Thanks All!

Wineskin Steam not Launching

Hey everyone, I'm trying to make a Steam for Windows wrapper via Wineskin but even though I seem to be able to install it alright, the app itself won't launch. The app goes through every stage of installation, and even downloads all of the necessary updates but once it's installed there's no call for the app to launch and nothing happens. I've tried launching it multiple times but each time it gives the message to skip installation (as it's already installed) and then the script ends. Any advice in terms of how to trigger the launcher?
