I open Wineskin Winery, I choose "Create New Blank Wrapper" then I write the name of the application I'm looking for but nothing happens. Theoretically I should find a folder on the desktop. What do I have to do?

I have a low-frequency strobe sensitivity, so I need to block flashing cursors. MacOS doesn't allow users to block flashing cursors in Webkit, although one hack allows users to block flashing cursors in NSText, and some applications have their own settings. So far, I've only tried the above hack in one app, and haven't been able to use Wineskin to block flashing cursors using both the regedit and the win.ini hacks.

I've been trying to set up a wrapper. I had a lot of trouble with the installer and options, and something went wrong during my last test run. I couldn't exit the log files dialogue, and had to force quit Wineskin. I tried reopening the wrapper, but can't get back to the installer and options; I just get an error message as the app inside opens and closes. P.S. Okay, I see that I can "show package contents" and pick the Wineskin app inside. There should probably be a troubleshooting section in the manual. Maybe there is a troubleshootng video, but I can't watch video.

Since MacOS doesn't have as many tools to disable blinking cursors as Windows and Wine do, I tried to use LibreOffice in Wineskin, with the regedit.exe and/or win.ini hacks to disable blinking cursors. I installed LibreOffice 5.2.2 in Wineskin. The installer worked, but soffice.exe simply opened a blank rectangle and stopped. I didn't try to edit the registry and other settings. I haven't tested it in Wine proper, or I'd update the app database at WineHQ. I also installed OpenOffice 4.1.3 in Wineskin. The installer worked, and soffice.exe opened perfectly. I then edited the registry and other settings, but was unable to stop the blinking cursor. I have no idea why one works and the other doesn't.

I've read that it will work on El Capitan and it is mentioned here...but it is not in the downloads area. Where uis it?

So I'm very new to Wineskin. I watched a whole bunch of tutorials and got my exe installed and wrapped and everything. When I'm starting the program, the first screen looks perfectly fine and comes up windowed, then it launches into full screen. I can see everything on the screen, but overtop is this nasty super fast red flickering. I can play the game, I can see the controls, but the red flickering doesn't go away. ps: When I force quit the game, in the few seconds it take to shut down, the flickering goes away and the game looks perfectly fine. Anyone have a solution to this?

Hello everyone, I've been always using a Mac and I was playing trough Steam few games, but now I'm not sure why this games won't work anymore on my Mac unless I use Wine, I've never used it before so I'm totally lost... I'm trying to find guides online on how to do it but I'm being unlucky... I downloaded first Wine Bottler, because I found a video which was saying that would work, but for me it doesn't, because all the files I put in there they come out with an icon I've never seen before and if I double click on them it opens like something to read, like a note but is not a note. Hi ! Since I updated my system, Batman Arkham Origins and Mass Effect 2 don't wan't to launch anymore with wineskin even though they were working perfectly with 10.11. There's no crash, so no crash log, because the games are endlessly launching without anything happening. The weird thing is that all my other games running on wine are still running properly, and I remember having the same issue last year when I updated to 10.11, so maybe Wineskin needs à 2.6.3 update ? Or am I the only one with this issue ? Thank you for your answer.

When I open the wrapper of Bus Simulator 2016, it shows the error: data folder not found: the "BusSimulator16_Data" folder should be next to the executable. The folder is already with the executable, but it still doesn't work. Please help me i'm going crazy.

I have insalles Wine on my Mac Mini which happens to be update to OX 10.12.1 My Windows programm Aldfaer, which is a genealogy database, is starting to crash; the bottons does not react on mousclickes after a while. Is that because of the fact that Wineskin is not running on Sierra yet? Please telle me more

Hi, I'm trying to get a standalone EXE program running in Wineskin, all is working so far, except one annoying thing. The program always starts minimized, and I don't know why. I made sure on a Windows VM that this isn't the case by default, and also tried every possible combination of using system/wrapper versions of X11, but it is still always starting minimized. Also tried setting various EXE flags to get it to start windowed (which should be the default), but also no success. Any idea why this is happening?

I booted Skyrim with a Wine wrapper up after a month or so of not playing, and now the mouse is incredibly fast and jittery. The smallest movement will send it to a corner, and turning down mouse speed in the .ini file only makes the mouse jitterier. I have not updated the game or my OS, so I am at a loss as to what happened between then and now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed Microsoft direct x 11 on my MacBook early 2011 using wineskin, what I did was that I got the direct x 11.exe from a game and I installed it using the install software from the wineskin app and after dat I tried playing my games, the game opened but the screen remained black and which has never happened before my games were working perfectly before I installed the direct x and after I reinstalled the wineskin it still showed the black screen.. pls I need help

Hi. I'm trying to get a copy of Arcanum that I bought off of GOG.com to work on my Mac with Wineskin. I'm using: Wineskin 2.6.2 WS9Wine 1.9.21 (I also tried 1.9.15). No matter what I do, I keep getting stuck as soon as I launch the game - the graphics are all distorted and I can't see the main menu. Any idea what I may be doing wrong, or what I can do to fix it? I tried using -no3d and -doublebuffer but to no avail. Help!

Im trying to run some fighting games (ex.SFIV, and Rocket league) When I try and run these programs, wine skin winery display an error message that reads 'AN error occurred while starting the X11 servers:Failed to activates core settings". Hi there and thank you very much for all your efforts on Wineskin. So here's my dilemma: 1- I have a logitech wireless PC keyboard. 2 -I have an old version of cakewalk on a Virtual Machine. Insert Key works straight from the keyboard as intended 3 - I have the same version of Cakewalk running on Wineskin. I can't for the life of me change ANYTHING by using an .Xmodmap file I created in the Contents/Frameworks folder within the wrapper. I have tried a variety of syntaxes to no avail. I have also tried other keycodes. "keycode 13 = Tab" (with and without quotes just as a test, "keycode 114 = Tab", no luck on that one either and lastly the one I really want which is: 'keycode 114 = Insert". None of this works. Could this be related to a permission problem? I edit the file with "TextEdit" and edit it directly. Is there anything I could be missing? I went on the registry keys and did not find the X11 switch key by the way. I am using a Macbook 3.1 with 10.6.8 BTW I have also tried KeyRemap4Macbook and I can actually affect the "Help Key"and turn it into "Tab" and it works with Cakewalk within Wineskin but PC_INSERT will not work at all with that piece of software either. I recently updated to MacOS Sierra. I downloaded WineSkine about 8 months ago to use an embroidery software that was designed for Windows. Now I can't find Wineskin OR my embroidery software. When I try to re-download WIneSkin, I can't open my embroidery software and now I don't know what to do! When I try to install the software, it says the file ust be in drive c:, but that's not an option because my computer won't even open the installed software because it's a windows file. I'm just at a loss!

I had a small issue getting VCarve Pro from [http://www.vectric.com/products/vcarve.htm|Vectric] to run. The software would launch, but upon clicking "Create new file" would immediately crash. I was able to get around this issue by going into the Wineskin settings, under Set Screen Options, and enabling "Use Mac Driver instead of X11". This allowed me to begin using VCarve.
