After working for several months, my Starcraft Broodwar wineskin does not work.
I launched it a couple minutes ago and everything went fine. Then i alt tabbed and the screen froze so I quit it. After re-launching it nothing happens. I get the icon animation showing it's opening but nothing happens at all. Any ideas?

Hi,
I use 3D modelling programs like Rhinoceros and Solidworks with my Macbook using bootcamp and parallels. Google and forums aren't turning up anything for whether it's been attempted to use Wineskin on a program like Solidworks before. Is it possible?

Registering Necessary OCX files for Application
I am attempting to use Wineskin to Port over a Windows app that utilizes OCX files to offer 3rd party embedded games such as Chess, Checkers, etc. These OCX files work in somewhat of an "add-on" manner, but the original installer of the main application includes a few which are registered automatically via the installer script (nullsoft installer). When I launched the Application, I see that the OCX files were not registered, and thus I've attempted to go back and manually register them using the Tools section and the Command Line..
EG:
C:/Windows/System32/Regsvr32.exe C:/add-ons/{filename}.ocx
But when I do, it fails to register the OCX file, this prompted me to attempt to use a different utility such as RegDLLView, which when I attempt to register the OCX files it reports "Error 126 Module not found". It seems that there is perhaps a winetrick that I should run that may add critical Windows Components necessary for Regsvr32 to properly register OCX files, but I've yet to determine which, and have tried a variety of options. I would be most grateful for any insight into how to register these OCX files so that I can deliver a complete Port of this application, not a partial one.
Please note: I am pre-registering all the available "add-on" OCX files as part of my Port, as the typical user wouldn't be able to add them in without knowledge of Wineskin, etc. So all I need is a one-time fix to get these installed, not something that will allow further OCX files to be installed after a user downloads/opens the Ported Application.

Wineskin winery application wont open on mac
I recently downloaded Wineskin Winery.app Version 1.7 via the official website. But whenever I unzip the file and try to run the application inside, nothing happens, maybe a slight movement in the doc but the app closes really quickly again. I tried doing all sorts of things on the net, but nothing has worked, and I'm not even sure a lot of them even address this issue. I'm a newbie to mac, just switched to my Macbook Pro from a Windows.

After configuring app, continues to launch Wineskin instead of specified app
I am trying to setup a wrapper for IE8 (needed for work occasionally, not by choice)
I create a new wrapper using Winery. I then use Winetricks to download/install IE8. Works. I set the the Program on the configuration tab to iexplore.exe, change the screen options to use the MacDriver, do a Refresh (simulate a windows reboot) and do a Test Run ... IE8 comes up! Great. Then I close the Wineskin Advanced window (the wiki directions say press the Done button, but there is now Done button), and then try to run the wrapper (IE8.app is what I called it), and the Wineskin configuration/app is launched again, instead of the configured program.
I followed the same steps as the Notepad.app example on the website. That application works, but it is not working for this one. Is there something I can set in the plist file to have it not launch the settings and just open iexplore.exe??
TIA!
Paul

I was trying to resolve this error: err:d3d:resource_init Out of adapter memory
by editing the registry and add VideoMemorySize and set it to 1500 in HKCU > Software > Wine > Direct3D section but after exiting the registry editor my key is automatically removed from registry. I see this after entering again to the registry editor. I was experimenting with this and when I add some other key it is saved ok but for some unknown reasons the key VideoMemorySize is automatically removed. I was also tried to edit user.reg file directly in text editor and the same situation occours. Can somebody help me how to setup this key and save it in my wrapper registry? I'm using OS X 10.9.5

Migrate wineskin from one MacOS installation to another
Hi everyone,
I've faced a rather unique situation and wineskin is part of it. I hope you will be able to help me find some information if you please.
There is this Windows financial software that is distributed for MacOS as a wineskin container. It saves results of its activity in encrypted file which is secured both by password and by binding itself to working environment. I used it quite a lot so I don't want to lose these results.
Accidently I've spilled water on my MacBook and filesystem on ssd got spoiled so I'm no longer able to boot it. I dumped whole ssd, used recovery software on another computer and was able to successfully recover this encrypted file. But the problem is that I cannot open it as, obviously, I've reinstalled both MacOS and this financial software so environment has changed.
Software developer asks the whole file to be sent to them to decrypt but this is nonsense to send financial data to a third-party.
I wonder whether I am able to recover environment? I still have dump of the ssd, recovery software was able to recover /Applications/XXX.app but it just instantly crashes when I try to launch it.
Are there any other files wineskin saves data to except /Applications/XXX.app? Do owner/privileges of /Applications/XXX.app matter (I've set chmod -R 777 and chown -R root:wheel)?
If you need any additional info, please let me know. Thank you for the help!

I have tried restarting the Acestream wrapper and also restarting the computer but neither helps.

Midtown Madness 2 Help!
I found my old CD-ROM of Midtown Madness 2 from 2000 lying around and thought I might try and play it again on my new Mac. So I downloaded Winery, created a new wrapper, installed the entire contents of the CD-ROM to that wrapper, downloaded a no-CD crack so I could play it, and then the screen flashed several times before displaying this:
MCI Error: There is an undetectable problem in loading the specified device driver.
MCI as far as I can tell is a program that allows the RedBook CD audio in the game to be played. But where's the "specified device driver"? Do I have to add it myself, and if so how? I know that Paul the Tall was able to port Age of Empires 2 which also uses RedBook (and I guess MCI), so it has to be possible to do this, the only question is how.

Custom built engine on Mavericks+
Please bring support for 10.9/10.10 SDKs when compiling Wineskin engines. Yosemite won't accept 10.8 SDK anymore

Stand alone
Hello, thanks for wineskin! I Here in Sweden we have some databases on CD for ancestry . I think they are done in MS Access. I run them on my Mac with help of Wineskin. I have some questions.
1. If I wan´t to send a CD to friend with one of databases, can I do the database "stand alone" or must my friend have Wineskin installed. What shall I do?
2. Some of the databases have updates with help of an exe-file. How can I install the update.
3. Do you have a description how to install the program icon?
Kind regards
