Mouse stuck in centre of the screen

So I installed Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines with a WS9Wine1.7.29 engine and it works fine apart from when I left click it makes the cursor appear in the centre of the screen and it remains there until I access the menus (allowing free movement of the mouse again) but will return every time I left click. Vampire is mainly an FPS game so I'm think this is a common issue to FPSs? Is there a custom engine I can build? Thanks in advance.
